RETURNS

What is your return policy if the shoe does not fit me?

We offer easy exchanges! If you ordered an item that is the wrong size or prefer to exchange it for another item, please message us (see below) or reply to your order, and we will provide a return label. Upon receipt of item and found in good condition, your exchange will be issued. Returned item must not be worn, must be in sellable condition and must be returned in the original shoebox.  

Note: We have limited stock in certain colors and styles, if we have ran out you can choose a current, in stock sneaker. 

 

REFUNDS

What is your refund policy?

If within 30 days of your purchase you are not satisfied with your product you may return it for a full refund at buyer cost. Shipping charges are nonrefundable. Please note that product must be in resellable* condition. We will gladly exchange any orders that are defective (e.g. fabric flaws, design, etc.) as above. Please message us (see below) or reply to your order email to start the process.

*Resellable condition: sneakers must be clean, unworn and in good condition in original box.

Please note we cannot be held responsible for Colchester items purchased from other retailers. For returns/exchanges/repairs of items that are purchased from another retailer, please consult the retailer's returns/exchanges/repair policies.

 

SHIPPING POLICY

How much does shipping cost?

We know you want your pair of Colchester Rubber Co. sneakers as quick as possible. That is why fast, easy shipping is important to us. Free, tracked, ground shipping comes automatically within the United States, using USPS or UPS. Processing takes 1-4 days, plus a transit time of 1-4 days. Your order should arrive within 2-8 days, under normal conditions.

Do you ship internationally?

We gladly welcome international orders. For North America outside the US, there is a $25 flat fee for shipping for a single pair, $35 for an order of two. For all other international orders, the fees are from $40-$50, dependent on weight. We are not responsible for any custom or tariff fees imposed by your country.  Processing takes 1-4 days, plus a transit time of 7-21 days. International orders should arrive within 8-25 days, under normal conditions.

Can you offer package insurance?

We are proud to partner with Route, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions. By selecting Route+ at checkout your order will be protected from damage, loss*, or theft. In the unfortunate case that your order never comes or is broken upon arrival, you can easily file a claim with Route and receive a replacement or be fully reimbursed. We are excited to offer this service to you and we highly recommend you use Route+ package protection at checkout.

*Claims for packages marked "delivered" yet not received and where there is no evidence of “porch piracy” must be made 5 days after “delivery date” but no longer than 15 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises." Claims for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") must be filed after 7 days (20 days for international) and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.

 

OUT OF STOCK SIZES/STYLES

I need a different size than what is offered, when will you carry more sizes?

Our sneakers are produced in small, limited runs, and some products sell out fast... If we do not have the size or style you need, we encourage you to: 1) on the Product page, click on the size that is out of stock to prompt and fill out the NOTIFY WHEN AVAILABLE section for that specific alert, and 2) join our mailing list at the bottom right of our site to be notified of all restocks and new releases.

How is your sizing?

Our sneakers generally run about average - we are similar in sizing to other well known vintage basketball sneaker brands. For wide feet, please order your true whole size. For flat feet, be aware there are arch supports, and these might not be right for you :-(

 

PLACE OF MANUFACTURE

Where are your shoes made? Is it still in Colchester, CT or the USA?

Sadly, the factory which produced the originals burned down at the start of the 20th Century. We currently manufacture our shoes in China, at a family-owned factory we selected after careful vetting - and the reason why is to provide the premium quality and craftsmanship worthy of such a design. The uppers are hand-dyed canvas, and soles are of vulcanized rubber. (The process of vulcanization became illegal in the USA as of the year 2000, so, Americans, we literally cannot make the shoes in the USA.) The resulting product is a high-quality, cruelty-free shoe with soles that last - the same outer materials and design unchanged from 1892, but updated for today. Considering they didn't have memory foam or arch support back then… that's a good thing.
